The house
Built for people who actually live here
Marena was founded by Micha H., a foreign entrepreneur living in Medellín, together with a paisa household manager — after assembling a life here the hard way and deciding nobody should have to do it that way twice.
The pattern was always the same. The city is extraordinary and affordable, the weather is perfect, the medicine is excellent — and then you lose eighteen months to visas, informal hiring, opaque property pricing and utility companies that only answer in Spanish, in person, between nine and eleven.
So we built the thing we needed: a permanent local team that finds the home, files the paperwork, finds and vets the staff, and then keeps the whole household running month after month. We work only in Medellín and the Antioquia countryside, with a client list kept small enough that your manager knows your family by name.

The founder
Micha H. — living it first
Micha is an entrepreneur who moved his life to Medellín and never looked back. He built his companies from here, learned the city street by street, and worked out — slowly, expensively — how a foreigner actually gets a residence, a visa, a formal staff and a household that runs without him.
He values a certain standard of living: quiet luxury, discretion, and everything simply taken care of. Marena exists because that standard did not exist here for people arriving from abroad — so he built the house he wanted to be a client of.
"I live here. Every home, driver and lawyer we place with you is one I would use myself."
What we hold ourselves to
Aligned with your stay
We only work with brokers, landlords and suppliers we would use ourselves, and every invoice is explained. Our incentive is that you stay another year.
Antioquia only
We refuse work in other regions. Depth in one place is what makes the brokers, the schools and the staffing network real.
Properly introduced
We source and reference-check every candidate, then hand you a shortlist. You employ them directly — we bring in vetted Colombian accountants and labour lawyers so the paperwork is done correctly.
One point of contact
A single bilingual manager owns your file for the whole mandate, with a named second who knows it just as well.
